Hire Request
-
Department submits Information to ProS HR via Smartsheet or the HR Service Hub 7-10 business days before the start date to be considered on-time
-
May 1 - September 15 are surge or high-volume periods and therefore on-time submissions should be sent 10-15 business days before the start date
-
This does not include centralized timeframes established by BRS (e.g. ASE/GSR, Student & Lecturers)
Onboarding Actions
-
Once HR approvals have occurred, ProS Onboarding receives the case and reviews it for completeness. Incomplete information will cause delays and may prevent onboarding in a timely manner.
-
DocuSign and related onboarding communication will be sent to the employee 3-5 business days after the complete onboarding request is received.
-
The timeframe during surge periods is 5-7 business days
-
Employee information is entered into the I-9 Tracker System and a Profile ID is generated.
-
Once the Docusign packet is returned, Onboarding will upload the completed packet within 1-2 business days, so that HRIM can submit new hire information to UCPath.
Factors that delay the Onboarding timeline
-
Late submissions
-
Peak/surge season
-
Volume
-
Start date (earlier start dates will be triaged before later start dates)
-
Information not complete
-
Delays in new hire returning completed Docusign packet
- When Profile ID is not transfered to UCB from the original location
Urgent requests should be communicated to the HR Partner or Generalist working with the department. For general onboarding requests and inquiries email ProSOnboarding@berkeley.edu
